Booklets Makes a Big Noise with SoundCloud

Multimedia sharing startup Booklets has added a weapon to its arsenal by integrating with social sound platform SoundCloud, allowing users to easily add sound to their text and image collections.

The scrapbooking website, which enables users to create and publish online booklets, will also introduce a feature where creations can be shared privately, and has updated its mobile app.

Booklets’ new feature means users will be able to complement their collections with one of  SoundCloud’s 15 million sounds simply by searching, making it more useful for musicians who want to create stylish online portfolios, as well as for adding an extra dimension to other booklets, like gallery brochures or fashion collections.

The integration with SoundCloud is a big step forward for the Berlin-based startup, which has seen more than 400 booklets created and shared since its private beta launch in April. CEO Dominik Faber said: “Thanks to the SoundCloud integration we are now able to provide our users with even more possibilities to create unique and individual collections.”

The site has also launched a private sharing service, where users can share their messages and booklets with friends and family without having to load them to the public community. A new mobile app has also been launched to support the new features, making browsing easier and better looking across mobile platforms.
