Win VIP Tickets to Startupbootcamp Berlin’s Demo Day!

The first Startupbootcamp Berlin is nearing its conclusion after taking in 20 international startups for a three-month acceleration program, with ten of the budding companies set to pitch to an international crowd of investors at a special demo day.

Sadly spectator tickets are already sold out, but we have two VIP tickets to give away which will also provide access to the investor networking event afterwards. Check out below the fold for how to get your hands on them.

Pitching will be LiquidState, Weavly, Capsule.fm, frestyl, ItsPlatonicCredport, Raidarrr and Brisk. Some of those names might sound familiar – Credpoint, a service for increasing Internet credibility, and Capsule.fm, which describes itself as the fifth song in your playlist, giving weather updates, as well as social media notifications, took part in the HY Berlin pitching contest at Media Entrepreneurs Day, while Weavly recently launched an integration with Loopcam’s API.

They are an international bunch as well – the ten startups involved in SBC Berlin, which were whittled down from more than 300, come from nine different countries. Over the past three months, they have been the recipients of advice and knowledge from more than 120 mentors, including Eric Wahlforss, co-founder of SoundCloud, Maria Lindinger, co-founder of twago, and Michael Jackson, partner at Mangrove Capital Partners.

Organiser Wilken Bruns said the demo day is about giving something back to Berlin: “If we had the space we’d love to let even more people in. The community has been so supportive, so we want to let them in on a great show. Also, investors are not the cheering type and we want the teams to come on stage with a roar.”

He added: “The three months have been exceptional. The energy and the people are incredible. The teams have made more progress than we could have ever imagined and all of them have already received interest from investors.”

Watching the show will be representatives from a host of investors, including from Index Ventures, Earlybird, Capitalise Partners, Point Nine Capital, Team Europe and Rocket Internet.

As a comparison, following the Amsterdam Startupbootcamp 80 per cent of the teams found investment within the following two months.

The event takes place from 2pm on Tuesday, November 27 at Umspannwerk. Networking with the investors and the teams starts at 4.30pm, followed up with an after-party at 9 with location yet to be confirmed.
