6WK Promises New Files Feature as Wunderlist Pro Launches

Wunderlist Pro, the first premium product from 6Wunderkinder, has officially launched, with the company already promising to add a Files functionality in the near future. The Pro version has emerged from private beta and is now available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and the Web, with Android and Windows to follow soon.

As we revealed last week, the upgrade emphasises team collaboration with new features including assigning tasks, creating an unlimited number of subtasks and a better choice of background. The premium upgrade costs $4.99 (€3.82) a month, or $44.99 (€34.47) a year.

Wunderlist 2 was launched in December after the Berlin-based startup gave up on Wunderkit and focused its attention on a new version of its first product. Since then, the app has reached four million users across the globe, with 213 million tasks having been created.

6Wunderkinder CEO Christian Reber said: “Over the past two years we have seen Wunderlist go from being solely a personal productivity app to it becoming part of our users’ daily working lives. Now today we start the next chapter of our journey with the arrival of Wunderlist Pro.”

The company has promised to add new features to the Pro version regularly, starting with Files. It will enable users to attach files to a task to share with colleagues for improved collaboration. In addition, the launch coincides with an update to Wunderlist as a whole, featuring UI improvements such as the Action Bar to ease navigation around the app.
