Considering Past, Present and Future at the Monthly Meet Up

By Silicon Allee |

Sankt Oberholz was once again packed from the start for Silicon Allee’s July meet up. There were plenty of entrepreneurs on hand to network and trade business cards, and some would-be tech superstars met the challenge of pitching their ideas to the Berlin Startup Academy‘s Christoph Raethke.

The event’s other sponsor Eventbrite, was also on hand to hand out free coffee to those who signed up as well as other goodies to everyone in attendance – and you can still grab a €100 voucher here.

With the sun shining, a good crowd decided to delay their arrival at the office on Tuesday and stop by the cafe on Rosenthaler Platz. Beside the multitude of founders, there were also investors, techies and journalists.

The latter group even included a news film crew from German TV station ZDF which had been at one of the very first Silicon Allee meet ups back in 2011, and which returned after more than two years to see how much the scene has changed. It certainly made the Silicon Allee team consider just how far we have come.

As always, it was great to see such a mix of familiar faces and eager new arrivals to the scene in Berlin. We look forward to hosting you all again in August.
