Check out Silicon Allee’s weekly rundown of all the best events going on in our fair city: what’s happening, what’s coming up and what may be of interest whether you be investor, entrepreneur or hacker. It’s high summer so many are on holiday, but there is still plenty to do!

Tuesday

Being an expat in a foreign city can be a daunting experience. One solution lies with Berlin-based startup G1obals, which links its expat members with a network of trusted businesses and services. The company is hosting an event for people to come and find answers to practical issues concerning housing, jobs and professional services, as well as being a gateway to connections and special offers in the city’s international community. The event is free for G10bals members but there’s a €10 cover charge for non-members, which includes a welcome drink and Louisiana hot summer barbecue. More info here. At Park Plaza at Wallstrasse 23-24, from 7-10pm.

Wednesday

RubyMotion is an iOS and OS X app developer tool, and the RubyMotion Berlin group is holding a dinner at which participants can network, work on their app developing skills, ask the experts questions and continue producing their own creations – along, of course, with eating and drinking. Sign up here – you need to join the group first. Venue to be confirmed, from 7.30pm.

Friday

The Berlin Startup Academy’s latest public session will focus on business modeling and KPIs. Attendees at RallyPad can meet and learn from some of Berlin’s most successful and experienced entrepreneurs, including Olga Steidl, CEO of talkbits.com, Daniel Höpfner, founder and CEO of Pressmatrix, and Patrick Paulisch, serial entrepreneur and investor in companies like datango and wooga. More info here. At Markgrafenstrasse 12-14, from 6pm.
