Wanna Hear the Hoff? It’s Not Too Late to Be at re:publica 14…

Berlin Web Week is already in full swing, so it’s the last chance for you to decide which events you want to attend – and if you fancy hearing the Hoff, you can still head for re:publica 14.

David Hasselhof, a legend to those of us who were growing up in the 1980s and early 1990s, will be on stage at the digital conference on Tuesday from 4.15-4.45pm to discuss digital freedom.

The talk, moderated by Mikko Hypponen of F-Secure, will see the Knight Rider and Baywatch star consider mass surveillance, digital persecution, digital colonisation and the right of access, movement and speech.

It’s one of dozens of talks, workshops, panels and more at the three-day event, which is being held at Station Berlin. The theme this year is Into The Wild – and it’s sure to be a wild few days. Among the other attractions is the Global Innovation Gathering (GIG) which we at Silicon Allee will be involved with.

Online ticket sales are over, but you can still pay on the door. These tickets will be valid for all three days, and so they are priced different depending on when you buy them: €250 on Tuesday up till 7pm, €180 on Wednesday up till 7pm, and Thursday during the day for €110.

We’ll see you there!
