Thanks for Attending!

Sankt Oberholz was buzzing this morning as more than 70 people from Berlin’s startup and tech scene descended on the café for Silicon Allee’s June meet up.

There was a whole range of companies represented, from well-established success stories to creative new ideas just waiting to get off the ground. Amongst the faces at this morning’s meet up – the first since we launched our new website – we spotted some familiar ones from SoundCloudEye’EmMopedBuddyBeersefamousSponsorPay,
BaseCase, Research Gate and Twago.

The guys from TunedIn – based in both New York and Berlin – also turned up, and co-founder Justin Scull said: “In New York, there’s a meet up like this every day, but this is unique for Berlin, it’s great.”

It wasn’t just the tech people, either – Berlin is at the center of innovation in more ways than one. The non-tech focused startups present included James Castle, who has launched his own fashion label together with popular blog, Spruced.us. There were also students just starting to look at the scene in preparation for taking their own first steps into the startup world.

Thanks to St. Oberholz for putting up with such a large crowd so early on a Tuesday morning – we’ll be back next month, so stay tuned for details of July’s meetup. You can follow us on Facebook and on Twitter, or email us at team@siliconallee.com.
