Amazon in Berlin Move – Google to Follow?

By David Knight |

Amazon is set to open a customer service center in Berlin employing up to 800 people – while there are also rumours that Google will be the next tech giant to jump on the Berlin bandwagon. The moves, if both come off, are yet more proof that the German capital is now at the heart of the tech scene in Europe.

The new Amazon center will be situated at the DomAquaree on Karl Liebknecht Strasse, close to Alexanderplatz –  according to the Immobilien Zeitung, from this month.

We have heard from several sources that Google is shopping around for office space in Germany’s capital city. Also Berlin-based jobs have begun appearing on their job board.
