Brrr, it was chilly this morning in Koblenz. Winter at last. Anyway, with breakfast over and done with at IdeaLab! 2011, first stop this morning is to listen to Jens Begemann from wooga. I’ll be having a chat with him later on, so I’m very interested to hear what he has to say. Formerly of Jamster, Jens founded Berlin-based wooga – world of gaming – in 2009. The company is now considered Europe’s largest social game developer.
I talked to him briefly last night and he provided a useful insight into running a successful startup. Key tip number one – it’s good to get some experience before plunging straight into starting your own company.
I also spoke with TechCrunch’s Mike Butcher last night about his (attempted) interview of Oliver Samwer. If you haven’t seen it, check it out – and make sure to listen to the audio as well!
There’s plenty more to come today, with Marco Boerries and Alexander Ljung also set to speak, and later on we’ll be having the panel discussion revisiting the discussion of whether Berlin is just a breeding ground for clones.
