It seems like we say this a lot at Silicon Allee, but there are some very cool events coming up here in Berlin and across Europe. First off, voting closes tomorrow for the Best European Gaming Startup as part of the Startup 2.0 Contest.
Then there’s the cool Webmontag Summer Party on June 4 – and last, but most definitely not least, it’s the big Berlin vs. London showdown on This Week in Startups, where yours truly will be on the jury at the pre-competition picking the top three for the live international battle.
The other judges will be Simon Schäfer, the man behind The Factory, and Wooga developer Tim Lossen. Alex Farcet of Startupbootcamp, Berlin Startup Academy‘s Christopher Räthke and Bianca Praetorius of Junges dt will act as mentors at the second TWiST event to be held in Berlin. The closing date for startups to apply is June 1.
The event will be held at the Ahoy! co-working space on June 8, with the pre-contest from 7-9pm and the final competition between Berlin and London form 9-10pm, hosted by TWiST‘s Jason Calacanis. The afterparty will feature Grammy-award winning DJ Hemmingway and plenty of free beer. You can get earlybird tickets here.
The Webmontag Sumer Party, which is being sponsored by Adobe and Crowdpark, will feature the winners of a competition to find the best redesign of the Sozialhelden website – coding in the name of a good cause! The event will take place at the Festsaal in Kreuzberg from 7.30pm, and anyone wanting to attend needs to register via Amiando.
Startup 2.0 2012, meanwhile, will see five finalists from the world of European gaming startups get the chance to present their projects at Nonick, the International Internet Trends Conference in Bilbao, with an all-expenses paid trip. So get voting now – you only have until Wednesday, May 30.
