IdeaLab! Sending Founders Back to School

By Conor Rushby |

Founders will have a chance to pass on their wisdom to the next generation of entrepreneurs at the IdeaLab! Founder’s Conference on October 12 and 13. Speech topics are open-ended as long as the speaker’s topics relate to what they think is crucial to succeeding as an entrepreneur.

Confirmed as speaking are Eileen Burbidge, founding partner of Passion Capital, Oliver Samwer, one of the brothers behind Rocket Internet, and Thomas Clark of enable2start. Additionally there will be 300 entrepreneurial experts from various different fields to enhance the workshops, networking slots and panel discussions, which offer interaction to complement the speeches.

Organised entirely by students from the renowned WHU business school near Koblenz, this year’s theme is the Wild West – although it won’t be fancy dress. The name alludes to being a pioneer on the ol’ frontier, with organisers hoping to attract a good mix of trailblazing corporates, students, and young founders to share their experiences.

Other features at the event will include Damian Doberstein, founding partner at e.ventures Russia, founder and chief editor of The European Alexander Goerlach, Florian Heinemann of Project A Ventures, HackFwd‘s Lars Hinrichs and Gregor Hochmuth of Instagram.

You can still buy tickets which are priced at €59 for students and €129 for young founders.

IdeaLab! proved a big hit last year, and follows another student-led conference which is taking place tomorrow and Saturday, the EBSpreneurship Forum.
