PicPack, a personalised printing service, is now offering work from high-profile artists on its fridge magnets alongside your Instagram photos. The Berlin-based startup, founded by Thomas Albrecht, Jakob Fricke and Tadas Ščerbinskas, has added work from a selection of international artists.
Launched in May last year, PicPack is a personalised printing service that turns your Instagram pictures into magnets to hang up proudly on your fridge. It quickly found popularity in the Berlin startup scene with Readmill’s Henrik Berggren becoming the first customer and the Gidsy furniture being adorned with the team’s favourite snaps.
Contributors include German web designer-cum-iPhone artist Benjamin Rabe, who uses the Brushes app to do finger-painting, quirky Italian artist Dito von Tease who makes portraits using the image of a finger with changing masks (such as Steve Jobs or Mr. T), and Instagram wonders like Michael Schulz and Thomas Kakareko.
Co-founder Thomas Albrecht said: “We’re friends with many photographers, illustrators and artists – people who create amazing work and deserve a wider audience. By printing their work on magnets, we hope to share our favourite art with the world.”
The artwork magnets work in the same way as the original Instagram ones – they come in a packet of 12 and cost €18 including free delivery worldwide, and orders ship from Berlin in one business day.
PicPack offers artists a sales commission, and you can drop the team an email with an intro and 12 sample images.
