Silicon Allee’s Meet Up is Back, Together with Eventbrite & the BSA

By David Knight |

Just like that, the Silicon Allee meet up is almost upon us again before you know it, and the July edition is being served with a twist. We’ll be giving you the opportunity to pitch directly to the Berlin Startup Academy at the event – and you can expect a direct answer in return!

Our meet up, which this month is also being held in partnership with Eventbrite, is a great way for everyone in the tech and startup scenes to get together and network. It’s an open event with no speeches or presentations; just come on down to Sankt Oberholz on Tuesday, July 2 from 9am and check out what’s going on.

Christoph Raethke, the founder of the BSA, will be on hand for Pitch If You Dare – you’re all welcome to go over to his corner and tell him your big idea. In response, you will get one or three responses:

Be told to forget it and do something else, because the idea sucks

Be given contacts and ‘flash mentoring’ on what to do next

Or even, be invited directly to participate in the next BSA semester if your idea is that impressive

It’s a great chance to become involved in the second BSA program, which offers an accelerator experience with a difference.

US-based ticketing company Eventbrite, meanwhile, has been investing a lot of time and resources into Germany in recent months, and has come on board as a sponsor at Berlin’s biggest and best networking event. Sign up for the meet up using the platform to bag yourself a special goody courtesy of Eventbrite – details to follow.

And then of course there’s the opportunity to meet faces old and new, be they hacker, investor, entrepreneur, freelancer or anyone else who has an interest in technology and startups.

We’ll see you there next Tuesday – Facebook event page here, and don’t forget to sign up on Eventbrite!

You can also claim a special €100 sign up voucher on Eventbrite.
