German politician Philipp Mißfelder will give the opening keynote at this year’s European Venture Market (EVM), which is aimed at bringing together companies looking for capital with investors and service providers, to help create the perfect match.
Alongside Mißfelder, the foreign policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, the list of speakers includes Carlos Enrique Alonso Rodriguez – president of Tenerife in the Canary Islands – Christian Nagel of Earlybird and DN Capital’s Nenad Marovac.
The EVM is marking its ten year anniversary with its 19th overall edition, with one every year in both Berlin and Liechtenstein. It will take place at Ludwig Erhard Haus across two days from May 6-7 as part of Berlin Web Week. In that time, some 40 entrepreneurs, from the angel to the exit stage, will be looking to persuade a similar number of investors to stump up some cash.
There will be four pitch sessions in different areas – cloud and SaaS, new media and marketing, mobile and apps, and e-commerce.
One of the partners for this year’s event is Why Tenerife, and there will be six companies from the Spanish island – where a vibrant tech scene is starting to emerge – presenting at EVM.
Investors and service providers can register here, while if you’re interested in your company attending, you can register here for a special last-minute ticket price of €200 for one person, which includes the evening event.
