There’s no sign of an end to the SoundCloud’s success story, with the Berlin-based startup releasing its new iPad app today. The app will enable users to create, record and promote music and sounds on the go.
Alexander Ljung, co-founder and CEO of SoundCloud, said: “[The app] takes full advantage of the functionality of the iPad, enticing people to capture and share sounds in a more social context than they might expect.
“The end result is a creator and listening experience unlike any other music or audio application out there.”
Key features of the app will include flowing screens to help navigate and discover sounds more easily, as well as larger profile images. There is also more space to “interact with the newly designed waveform allowing users to add comments directly to the waveform and see them scroll as a sound plays.”
According to GigaOM, SoundCloud has also hit the eight million creator mark, having only passed three million in February.
