My Dear Friends

Welcome to the New Silicon Allee

As the new Publisher of Silicon Allee and the CEO of its parent company, Four Sektor, I am excited to sit in the captain’s seat to take this organization through its next and ambitious growth phases. I am also honored to lead an amazing Silicon Allee team whom are dedicated to serving you by propagating a multitude of inter-related activities that surround the technology and startup community in Berlin and across all of Germany.

You, the community, is now approximately 16.000 strong and you represent just less than €1 Billion in spending power. Over the past year, you viewed the Silicon Allee news pages 260,000 times, over 8,600 of you follows us on Twitter and approximately 7,000 Like us on Facebook.  61% of you are in Germany, 24% in Europe, 7% in the USA and 8% from the Rest of the World. Over the past two and half years, we have written you over 960 articles and you have consumed approximately 500,000 words. We are humbled and thank you for your support and loyalty.

Silicon Allee is now facing a new phase. You are now reading my letter on the new Silicon Allee News Site covering the ‘The Tech Life’. An amazing editorial team will continually give you news features, tech & startup articles, business articles, opinion pieces and lifestyle coverage.

Soon there will be other Silicon Allee sites serving you. The Events site will bring you Seminars, Workshops, Training, Personal Development, awesome Parties, Breakfasts and Publisher’s Dinners. A Jobs site follows and then a Listings service for local businesses allowing them to reach out to you, our Silicon Allee community. We are also working hard to launch a site that lists a directory all of those involved within the startup and tech eco-system.

We cannot do what we do without you and without the financial support of our partners, and to this end; we owe you our love, dedication and infinite gratitude.

… and to think that it all started with a breakfast meetup at Sankt Oberholz on February 3rd 2011.

Sincerely

Nadahl Shocair,

Publisher
