Users can now check out the best of Berlin in the latest video guides on Unlike’s free new Android app. The app, created in partnership with Samsung Galaxy S II, was launched last week by the online city guide, with the first series of videos featuring five savvy Londoners. This week, it’s the turn of Niki Pauls, Marcus and Christiane, Boris Radczun, Philip Gaedicke and Jan Mihm to show off the charms of Germany’s capital city.
And Unlike promises: “We’re not talking about some cheesy tour guide holding a flag here…. From the rail station-turned-club to fish markets and cutting edge galleries, get yourself acquainted with the best in music, drink, food and art by checkout their guides.” Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona will be the subject of future videos.
Unlike is already planning future expansion, including new city guides for New York, San Francisco and Warsaw as well as the return of its free iPhone app and a web redesign. New feature will include allowing users to create spots, curate guides, connect with friends and share their tips in the Unlike community.
Editor in chief Simon Harris told Silicon Allee: “The new app is filled with exclusive insider guides. We commissioned some slick videos highlighting the best spots in five of Europe’s best cities, all curated by local insiders.”
