Startup Heavyweights Lined Up For NEXT Conference

By David Knight |

Some of Berlin’s startup heavyweights have been lined up to speak at the NEXT conference in May. Edial Dekker of Gidsy, Felix Peterson of Amen and Caroline Drucker of SoundCloud will all take to the stage at the conference.

This year’s NEXT, the seventh edition, will focus on the post-digital era and how the lines between the digital and real worlds are starting to blur.

Other confirmed speakers include Deepa Iyengar of MindGames, David Bausola of Weavrs, Mikkel Svane of Zendesk and Stefan Glänzer, German co-founder of London incubator White Bear Yard. The conference takes place at STATION-Berlin, an historic former postal depot, on May 8 and 9.

NEXT co-founder Matthias Schrader, CEO of SinnerSchrader, said: “NEXT Berlin will focus on the most important trends and issues that await us over the next 24 months.”

The conference’s international feel is reflected in its program which covers rapidly evolving digital markets. Speakers from around the world will share their visions for the post-digital future: from 3D printing and new creative tools to intelligent objects and new markets. Particular attention will be paid to the participation of consumers, information networks and innovations from research institutions. The startup boom in Berlin and beyond will be brought into focus.

The idea of a fusion between digital and analogue worlds, meanwhile, will be taken up by speakers such as historian and author George Dyson and Ulla-Maaria Engeström, founder and CEO of ThingLink.

You can still apply for an exhibitor package to present your startup at NEXT.
