By Claire Adamson |

As a prelude to a possible knockout matchup between England and Germany at Euro 2012, startup teams from London and Berlin will go head to head this Friday in the latest TWiST battle. And the cream of the crop representing the German capital have been announced, with 15 startups fighting it out in the pre-contest for one of three places in the live finale.

Each of the teams – listed below – will be given one minute to pitch their idea to a jury in order to claim a chance for glory.

Here are the Berlin startups:

Having been selected for their market, innovation and monetisation potential, the startups will now undergo two days of mentoring and pitching training at the Ahoy! co-working space, which will also host Friday’s showdown. Mentors include Alex Farcet of Startupbootcamp, Berlin Startup Academy’s Christopher Räthke and Bianca Praetorius of Junges dt, while Simon Schäfer, the man behind The Factory, Wooga developer Tim Lossen and Silicon Allee Editor-in-Chief David Knight will make up the jury.

The pre-contest runs from 7-9pm, with the international battle hosted by TWiST’s Jason Calacanis starting from 9pm. Make sure to stick around for the after party as well. Grammy award winning DJ Daddy Hemingway will be playing and of course there will be plenty of free beer.

Tickets are limited but you can get yours here.
