The Geeks on a Plane are coming to Berlin this weekend – and 120 lucky entrepreneurs, as well as 20 investors, will get up close and personal thanks to the first Pirate Summit satellite event in Berlin. Just don’t down too much grog before ye show up!
Organised by 500 Startups, GOAP is an invite-only tour headed by Dave McClure for tech leaders to meet startups, geeks and investors in cities around the world and learn more about burgeoning technology markets. They will be stopping in the German capital as part of their tour through Eastern Europe.
And Dave and his gang of around 30 hardy souls will land up at the Factory this Saturday, September 29, for an event hosted by the Pirate Summit which will include startups walking the plank in a bid to win a pitch competition.
It takes place from 1-5pm at Berlin’s new tech hub, on Rheinsberger Strasse in Mitte. Tickets cost €30 for founders, developers and designers and €90 for investors – but it’s invite-only, so apply here now to make sure you get in.
In addition to the pitch contest, there will be a panel discussion talking about Berlin’s ecosystem featuring Felix Petersen of Amen, Readmill‘s Henrik Berggren and 6Wunderkinder founder Christian Reber. There will also be a chance to network and to tour the Factory.
