Italy and Germany go together like, erm, pizza and beer, and a startup event later this month will bring together tech experts from the two countries to discuss themes including technology, usability and the availability of funding. Organised by the Technology Foundation Berlin (TSB), the Italian Embassy in Berlin and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the event will feature a variety of high-profile figures from both the public and private sectors.
Italian Ambassador Elio Menzione will open the conference, which takes place at the embassy itself on Tiergartenstrasse on November 11, and other speakers include Nicolas Zimmer, president of the TSB, Heinrich Arnold, head of Deutsche Telekom’s Telekom Labs, the Factory‘s Simon Schaefer and Stefano Firpo from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
Among the investors present will be Andrea Ballestri of Altante Seed, Max Claussen of EarlyBird and Marco Villa, managing director of Italian Angels for Growth. Later on in the afternoon, there will be startup pitches in both the ICT and biomed spaces, followed by drinks and networking.
The event promises to be meraviglioso – unfortunately it’s already oversubscribed, but you can join the waiting list here.
Ci vediamo allora!
